2015 China University Roadshow

In the next coming months, Next Step Connections will be visiting new universities in Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Jinan, Xiamen and Hangzhou. NSC is ramping up these presentations efforts as a part of a strategy to increase Mainland Chinese students enrollment for internships in Shanghai, China.

As seen in a recent survey by McKinsey, 60% of Chinese students see internships as the most beneficial experience to gain hands-on work experience, build skills and secure an employment in their home country.

This new trend will continue, as youth unemployment has become a hot topic in China. While studying abroad will continue to rise as a door to explore new countries and improve languages skills; local internships is seen as the new trend as Mainland Chinese students are now considering internships as the most practical and effective experience to start their career.

Next Step Connections has seen a peak in local enrollment from local Chinese University students as part of its road show initiative to offer tailor-made internship experience in Shanghai to local Chinese students from other provinces to Shanghai.

These roadshows also demonstrated NSC’s continuous efforts in support of transforming Education into Enriched Experience for many local mainland Chinese students as part of NSC’s on-going Social Development, commitment & confidence in China.
