The participants interacted with the management team at one of the main Tesco Lotus Distribution Center in Thailand to learn about Tesco’s supply chain & distribution operations and strategy in Thailand. The executives also visited EmQuartier, part of the Mall Group in Thailand; one of Thailand’s largest mall operators. Mall Group’s brands include: The Mall, Emporium, Siam Paragon, Power Mall, Gourmet Market, The Mall SkyPORT, EmQuartier, SportsMall, BeTrend, and BLÚPORT. The executives specifically discovered innovative retail concepts as part of the Gourmet Market brand and engaged with the executive team at the Gourmet Market. Meaningful connections were developed as part of that Learning Expedition which included a private dinner on the Chao Phraya River and an special experience at Dine in the Dark.
